RISHL Moving Services For Rhode Island State Health Laboratory

Background
The Rhode Island Department of Health is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide moving services for the Rhode Island State Health Laboratory (RISHL).

The laboratory is currently located at 50 Orms Street, Providence, RI, and will be relocating to a new facility at 150 Richmond Street, Providence, RI. The goal of this contract is to ensure a smooth transition of the entire laboratory and office facility during the move, which is planned to occur in six phases during July and August of 2025.

Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive moving services which include:
1. Planning and coordination of the move in six phases.
2. Packing and unpacking laboratory equipment and office materials.
3. Transportation of all items from the current location to the new facility.
4. Ensuring that all items are handled with care to prevent damage.
5. Compliance with safety regulations during the moving process.
6. Providing necessary personnel and equipment for the move.
7. Conducting a pre-move inventory of all items to be relocated.

Period of Performance
The contract period will begin approximately on April 1, 2025, and will end on December 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The moving services will be performed between two locations in Providence, Rhode Island: from 50 Orms Street to 150 Richmond Street.
