Description

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) Transportation Management Center (TMC) in Providence, RI seeks proposals from qualified firms to complete the following and associated types of work outlined in TRFP25005717, all in support of the TMC's mission to facilitate efficient transportation system operations and improved roadway safety statewide. This also includes support services fostering collaboration and partnership between the TMC, other RIDOT offices and public agencies, and other ITS and Transportation Systems Management & Operations (TSMO) stakeholders in the region. Background
The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) is seeking proposals for professional consultant services and ITS technical support to the Transportation Management Center (TMC) located in Providence, RI. The goal of this contract is to enhance transportation system operations and improve roadway safety across the state.

The TMC aims to foster collaboration among various RIDOT offices, public agencies, and stakeholders involved in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Transportation Systems Management & Operations (TSMO).

Work Details
The selected firm will provide a range of professional consulting services that include:
- Support for efficient transportation system operations.
- Improvement of roadway safety statewide.
- Facilitation of collaboration between the TMC and other RIDOT offices, public agencies, and ITS/TSMO stakeholders.
- Participation in a non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting to discuss project details.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence on June 25, 2025, and conclude on July 30, 2025. The initial contract term is expected to begin approximately in September 2025 for three years, with potential renewals for up to two additional 12-month periods based on vendor performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Rhode Island Department of Transportation's Transportation Management Center located in Providence, Rhode Island.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must register in Ocean State Procures™ to submit proposals. All vendors are eligible to respond. Additionally, vendors must comply with insurance requirements including liability coverage of $1 million per occurrence, workers compensation coverage, and professional liability insurance among others.

Vendors are encouraged to include participation from certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women Business Enterprises (WBEs), or Disability Business Enterprises (DisBEs) as part of their proposal.
