Background
The Rhode Island Convention Center Authority is a public corporation of the State of Rhode Island responsible for multiple buildings including the Rhode Island Convention Center (RICC), the Amica Mutual Pavilion (AMP), and the Veterans Auditorium (VETS). The Authority is seeking proposals from qualified signage firms for Design-Build Services for interior signage at the Convention Center's fifth floor and newly created third floor areas. The goal is to provide updated room identification, informational signage, and directional signage to enhance visitor experience and navigation.

Work Details
The selected signage firm will be responsible for:
- Conducting site visits to analyze existing building conditions.
- Developing at least three conceptual designs with associated budgets.
- Completing schematic design after a preferred option is selected.
- Providing a lump sum price for design, fabrication, installation, and closeout at the completion of schematic design.
- Ensuring compliance with signage codes and facilitating owner meetings to achieve a preferred solution.
- Presenting options that include elevations, sample materials, budget estimates, and schedules.
- Documenting the selection process and facilitating meetings with local authorities as necessary.
- Delivering a detailed proposal including cost breakdowns by phase, schedules through closeout, costs for overtime work, permits, and insurance requirements.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to commence upon award in September 2025 with substantial completion anticipated within 12 weeks from acceptance of the cost proposal. Final closeout is expected 6 weeks after substantial completion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Rhode Island Convention Center located at One Sabin Street, Providence, RI 02903.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must attend a mandatory pre-proposal site visit on August 13, 2025. They must provide evidence of qualifications including experience in similar projects, references from past clients, and details about their design-build team. Insurance requirements include worker's compensation and general liability coverage with specified limits.
