RIC Digital Sign and Installation at The Quad

Background
Rhode Island College is issuing this solicitation for the purchase and installation of a new digital information display system to be installed on the main campus quad near Adams Library.
The goal of this project is to enhance communication and information dissemination on campus through a fully operational digital signage system.
This project aligns with the college's mission to provide effective communication tools for students, faculty, and visitors.

Work Details
The contract includes the following services and products:
- Purchase and installation of a digital information display integrated within a stone-clad concrete wall.
- All necessary site work, including utilities, foundation, structure, and electrical connections for operational functionality.
- Demolition of existing structures as required.
- Restoration of landscape and paved areas post-installation.
- Coordination with audiovisual and electrical vendors to ensure proper infrastructure and connectivity.
- Allowances for unforeseen conditions related to electrical coordination ($10,000) and IT/AV conditions ($10,000).
- Unit prices for additional work such as unsuitable soil removal, boulders over 1 yard, concrete sidewalk removal/replacement, stone veneer masonry wall installation, AV-rated conduit installation, and exterior hand hole with cover.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period will begin approximately in September 2025 for one year, with the possibility of renewal for an additional 12-month period based on vendor performance and availability of funds.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Rhode Island College's main campus quad near Adams Library.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must provide a bid surety bond or certified check as part of their proposal submission.
A payment and performance bond of 100% is required prior to issuance of a purchase order.
Vendors must comply with all licensing requirements specific to the services described in this solicitation.
Additionally, vendors are encouraged to include Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) in their proposals as per state policy.
