Playground Equipment

Background
The University of Rhode Island, through its Division of Administration and Finance Purchasing Department, is seeking bids for playground equipment to be delivered to the Child Development Center.

The goal of this contract is to provide a new playground climber that meets specific safety and accessibility standards for children aged 2-5 years.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of one unit of playground equipment, specifically a climber from the brand Big Toys, Earlyworks, Villa Accessible, model MEC-690-10 or an equivalent.

The equipment must include various play components such as:
- Playhouse with roof
- Bench
- Boarding net
- Curly climber
- DuoChute slide
- Overhead ladder
- Turn bar
- Rock climbs (2)
- Wobbly walk
- Big wheels (2)

The materials used should be recycled plastic and metal with a color scheme of EarlyWorks Woodland. The structure must support a user capacity of 40-50 children and have in-ground posts with concrete footing. Vendors are required to hold the equipment until the scheduled installation date and must provide all specifications along with a blueprint of the proposed structure that includes labeled play components and measurements. Bidders are responsible for inspecting the site and ensuring compliance with all playground safety standards.

Period of Performance
The delivery date for the playground equipment is expected to align with the scheduled installation date as determined by the University.

The contract will be performed at the University of Rhode Island's Child Development Center located at 10 Lower College Rd, Kingston, RI 02881.
