OER EV Chargers at Cranston & Wakefield DMV's

Background
The Office of Energy Resources (OER) of the State of Rhode Island is seeking a vendor to provide site work and installation of National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) compliant direct current fast chargers (DCFC) at the Cranston and Wakefield Department of Motor Vehicles (DMVs).
The goal of this contract is to enhance electric vehicle charging capabilities in the state, aligning with broader energy and environmental goals.

Work Details
The vendor will be responsible for the following:
1. Installation of three (3) Direct Current Chargers at Cranston DMV, capable of charging six (6) electric vehicles simultaneously at 150kW.
2. Installation of five (5) Level 2 chargers and two (2) Direct Current Chargers at Wakefield DMV, capable of charging four (4) electric vehicles simultaneously at 150kW.
3. Site work including electrical connections, furnishing, and installation as per NEVI compliance standards.
4. A five-year ChargePoint Assure Maintenance Plan for ongoing support and maintenance of the installed chargers.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period will begin in approximately 2026 for one (1) year, with a maintenance plan covering a period of five (5) years commencing when the charging stations are commissioned and ready for use.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at two locations:
- Cranston DMV located at 600 New London Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920
- Wakefield DMV located at 4808 Tower Hill Road, Wakefield, RI 02879.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must comply with all licensing and/or state permits required for the type of service described in this solicitation.
A copy of the vendor’s license/permit should be submitted with the bid proposal. Additionally, vendors must provide evidence of licensure as a telecommunications system contractor if applicable.
The contract requires a bid surety bond or certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the vendor's cost proposal.
