MPA 574 Prime/General Contractor Prequal for K-12 Public School Construction

Background
The solicitation is for MPA 574 OE Prime/General Contractor Prequal for K-12 Public School Construction to be completed by contractors that wish to become prequalified as prime/general contractors by RI Department of Education’s School Building Authority (SBA). This solicitation will be used to establish a Master Price Agreement (MPA)/Open Enrollment of qualified Prime Contractors. Pre-qualification of Prime Contractors is required for all contracts that are put out to bid by a LEA (Local Educational Agency) and are for the construction, reconstruction, demolition, maintenance, or repair of a K-12 school estimated to cost over $13,900,000 in FY 2024 and receive school construction funding from the State of Rhode Island.

Work Details
The contract period will begin approximately on June 1, 2024, for 2 years. The open Enrollment period will be the first year only of the 2-year contract.
Vendors must submit a copy of the bonding capacity commitment letter documentation on the Attachments tab of this solicitation in Ocean State Procures™.
Vendors must register in Ocean State Procures™ at www.ridop.ri.gov/vendor-registration/ to be able to submit solicitation responses and receive any potential solicitation award.

Period of Performance
The contract period will begin approximately on June 1, 2024, for 2 years. The open Enrollment period will be the first year only of the 2-year contract.
