Electrical Maintenance and Repair

Background
The City of Pawtucket is seeking qualified companies to provide electrical maintenance and repairs on an as-needed basis. This contract will be for an initial three (3) year period, with two (2) additional one (1) year extensions at the City’s sole discretion. The City reserves the right to award to more than one company.

Work Details
The contractor must comply with all applicable licensing and permitting requirements for electrical maintenance and repair services. Repairs can only be performed with prior written approval from the designated Public Works Supervisor. The contractor must respond to service calls 24/7, with a required on-site response time of two hours.

Charges for repairs will be based on quoted hourly rates, with overtime rates applicable outside standard hours (7 AM to 5 PM) and on holidays. The contractor must provide written quotes for estimates on labor and materials, and maintain a Time Log for each job, which must accompany invoices for payment processing. Invoices must detail prices, part numbers, and brand names for parts over $200.

Period of Performance
The contract will last for an initial period of three years, with the possibility of two one-year extensions at the City's discretion.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the City of Pawtucket.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. They are required to submit proof of all necessary licenses and permits along with their proposals. A bid surety in the form of a bid bond or certified check equal to at least 5% of the bid price is required.

Additionally, bidders must maintain comprehensive general liability insurance with a minimum coverage of $1 million per occurrence.
