DPS Rhode Island State Police Uniform Alterations

Background
The Rhode Island State Police are seeking services for alterations and repairs to uniform apparel as needed. This solicitation is a supplemental bid related to RFQ25005695, aimed at ensuring that the uniform standards of the police force are maintained through proper tailoring and repair services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:
1. Shorten or lengthen shirt sleeves;
2. Shorten or lengthen jacket/coat sleeves;
3. Enlarge or reduce shoulder size for shirts or jackets;
4. Enlarge or reduce chest size for shirts or jackets;
5. Enlarge or reduce mid-section for shirts or jackets;
6. Enlarge or reduce pants waist;
7. Enlarge or reduce pants inseam;
8. Enlarge or reduce pants calf size;
9. Alter neck size;
10. Shorten or lengthen pants hem;
11. Sew Rhode Island State Police shoulder patch on left shoulder;
12. Sew Corporal or Sergeant chevrons on both left and right arms;
13. Sew epaulets on the top of left and right shoulders;
14. Sew service bars (each representing three years of service) on the forearm of the left sleeve;
15. Sewing of various buttons;
16. Miscellaneous repairs including tears, rips in clothing material, loose stitching, zipper replacement on pants and jackets, and other general tailoring needs as requested.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from September 18, 2025, to October 21, 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at locations designated by the Rhode Island State Police within the state of Rhode Island.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must register in Ocean State Procures™ to submit responses and receive potential awards. The awarded vendor must maintain required insurance coverage including liability insurance with a combined single limit of $1,000,000 per occurrence and workers' compensation insurance.
