DEM Consultant Services for Climate Change Mitigation and Resilience Support

Background
The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM), representing the Rhode Island Executive Climate Change Coordinating Council (EC4) Science and Technical Advisory Committee (STAB), is seeking a qualified vendor to assist in providing scientific and technical information related to climate change mitigation and resiliency. This initiative is mandated by RIGL § 42-6.2-5, aiming to enhance the state's response to climate challenges.

Work Details
The selected vendor will support the STAB in its responsibilities, which include:

1) Providing science-based information and technical assistance on climate change mitigation strategies;

2) Offering expertise on climate change resiliency measures;

3) Engaging with stakeholders to disseminate findings and recommendations;

4) Assisting in the development of reports and presentations for the EC4;

5) Collaborating with other agencies and organizations involved in climate initiatives.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to commence in May 2025, lasting for one year with the possibility of up to six additional months based on performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the State of Rhode Island.
