Bridge Group 26C - Woonsocket Blackstone River West

Background
The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) is issuing this solicitation for the Bridge Group 26C – Woonsocket Blackstone River West Project. The project aims to rehabilitate Singleton Road Bridge No. 095501 and River Road Bridge No. 095601 in Woonsocket, RI, as part of Federal Aid Project No. BHO-026C (001). The goal is to ensure the structural integrity and safety of these bridges as part of the agency's mission to maintain and improve transportation infrastructure.

Work Details
The work includes:
- Complete removal and reconstruction of concrete bridge decks;
- Deck-over-backwall extension details;
- Steel repair and strengthening;
- Cleaning and painting all steel members;
- Expansion joint replacement;
- Channel band restoration at abutments;
- Installation of new MASH compliant barriers;
- Reconstructing approach roadway at each end of the bridges with full depth pavement structure;
- New steel beam guardrail with end treatments;
- Maintenance and protection of traffic;
- Pavement markings;
- Erosion controls.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from September 30, 2025, to November 07, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be conducted in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid bond payable to the State of Rhode Island in the amount of 5% of the total bid. A performance bond of 100% of the contract price is required from the successful bidder. Vendors must also comply with insurance requirements including liability coverage, workers compensation, and automobile liability as specified in the solicitation.
