Batting Cage Netting & Installation

Background
The University of Rhode Island (URI) Department of Athletics is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide a replacement batting cage netting and installation for the Division 1 Baseball/Softball Team’s indoor batting cage.

The original netting was installed when the batting barn was built in 2011, and the current netting was replaced 6 years ago. The goal is to replace the entire netting system with a vendor experienced in working with collegiate or professional baseball/softball teams.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following products and services:
1. **Batting Cage Netting and Materials:**
- Nylon Custom Batting Cage with ceiling ropes in both directions every 6-8 feet, vertical ropes at each corner.
- Nylon Custom Netting panel with a rope border around the entire perimeter (color: black).
- Windscreen Barriers measuring 18 inches high by 70 feet long, with grommets every 12 inches on one finished length, and a vinyl border around the entire perimeter (color: black).
- Three Flap Doors measuring 4 feet by 8 feet each.
- Cables and other bolts necessary for installation.

2. **Installation Services:**
- Project management, engineering, and installation of the netting system as specified above.
- Costs associated with the removal of existing netting will be handled internally by URI.

Period of Performance
The preferred installation date for the new netting is January 15, 2025. Bidders must indicate if they can meet this timeline or provide an alternative date for completion.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the University of Rhode Island's Athletics Equipment Room located at 3 Keeney Rd., Kingston, RI 02881.
