Yeadon Borough 2026 Road Program

Background
The Yeadon Borough, located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, is issuing a solicitation for the 2026 Road Program. The purpose of this contract is to enhance the road infrastructure within the borough, aligning with the agency's mission to maintain and improve public roadways for safety and accessibility.

Work Details
The project encompasses various road construction activities including: asphalt milling, installation of a superpave wearing course, superpave base repair, asphalt leveling, pavement markings, and other appurtenant work.

Specific tasks include:
1) 3,657 square yards of 1.5-inch milling of bituminous pavement surface;
2) Installation of a 1.5-inch, 9.5mm Superpave Wearing Course;
3) 872 square yards of 5-inch, 25mm Superpave Base Repair;
4) Installation of a 10-ton 9.5mm leveling course; and various pavement markings including white lines and directional arrows.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and must be completed within sixty (60) days from that date.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Yeadon Borough, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be pre-qualified with PENNDOT in accordance with Section 102.01 of PENNDOT Publication 408. A certified check or bid bond amounting to at least ten percent (10%) of the bid must accompany each proposal. The project is subject to prevailing wage rates as determined by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
