Veterans Memorial Park

Background
The Veterans Memorial Park project is initiated by Conshohocken Borough, located at 400 Fayette Street, Suite 200, Conshohocken, PA 19428. The goal of this contract is to enhance the public infrastructure by constructing a U-shaped one-way street and a public plaza that includes a memorial plaza, viewing plaza, and an amphitheater-style stage. This aligns with the borough's mission to provide community spaces for recreation and remembrance.

Work Details
The contract requires the completion of all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to remove existing features in the block of West 2nd Avenue between Forrest and Fayette Streets. The scope of work includes:

- Construction of a U-shaped one-way street from and to Forrest Street;
- Development of a public plaza featuring a memorial plaza, viewing plaza, and stage with amphitheater-style seating;
- Installation of retaining walls, stairs, railings, handrails, shade structures;
- Provision of electrical service;
- Construction of sidewalks, curbs, signage, curb ramps;
- Landscaping;
- Lighting;
- Asphalt pavement;
- Line striping;
- Soil erosion and sedimentation control measures;
- Pedestrian and vehicular traffic control; and
- Restoration as detailed in the Drawings and Project Manual.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence following the bid opening on January 22, 2026. The specific duration for completion will be determined based on project requirements.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in the block of West 2nd Avenue between Forrest and Fayette Streets in Conshohocken Borough, Pennsylvania.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the applicable provisions of Act 422 (Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act) and adhere to prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. If the contract price exceeds $350,000, it is also subject to the Borough’s Responsible Contractors Ordinance.
