Troop M - Belfast Lawn Care Services

Background
The Pennsylvania State Police is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to procure lawn care maintenance services for Troop M in Belfast. The goal of this contract is to ensure the upkeep of the grounds at the Troop M location, which is essential for maintaining a professional appearance and operational efficiency.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for monthly lawn care maintenance at the PA State Police Troop M location. Specific tasks include:
- Mowing: 4 times per month starting in April, with weekly cuts on a mutually agreed day. If a week is missed, clippings must be bagged during the next cut.

- Weed Whacking: Trimming around walkways, parking lots, buildings, signs, and other designated areas with each mowing.

- Shrubbery Maintenance: Trimming of shrubs/bushes/trees in May, June, and September, including removal of clippings.

- Weed Control: Monthly application of weed killer during the cutting season, including pulling weeds from rock beds and landscaping.

All necessary equipment must be supplied by the vendor, and all clippings and debris must be removed from the premises after each service. Special attention must be given to avoid blowing grass onto State Police or personal vehicles.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon issuance of a valid purchase order and will have an initial term of one year with four optional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Pennsylvania State Police Troop M located at 654 Bangor Road, Nazareth, PA 18064.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified as a Small Business through the Department of General Services' self-certification process. Proof of insurance must be submitted with the bid response. Additionally, bidders are required to complete a Proof of Visit form signed by the Station Commander or authorized representative prior to bidding.
