Tire Purchases

Background
The City of Pittsburgh Office of Management and Budget, on behalf of the Department of Public Works, is soliciting bids from qualified firms for Tire Purchases. The goal of this contract is to procure tires for the city's fleet, ensuring that the vehicles are equipped with reliable and safe tires to support public works operations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing a variety of tires as specified in the contract. The exact types and quantities of tires will be detailed in the bid specifications. All goods supplied must be new, unused, and from current stock. The contractor must ensure timely delivery of all products within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of the City's request. Additionally, the contractor must comply with all specifications regarding quality and performance standards as outlined in the bid documents.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from August 1, 2026, through July 31, 2028, with two one-year options to renew.

Place of Performance
The delivery of products will take place at designated locations within Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as specified by the City.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate good faith efforts to include Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), specifically Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WBEs), LGBTQIA+ Owned Business Enterprises, and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses in their proposals. The City has set participation goals: 18% for MBEs, 7% for WBEs, 5% for veteran-owned businesses, and 3% for LGBTQIA+ businesses. Bidders must also provide a guarantee in the form of a cashier's check or bond amounting to 5% of the bid total and maintain insurance coverage as specified in the contract.
