Snow Removal And Salting

Background
The Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Exposition Center (FARM SHOW) is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide snow removal and salting services from all Farm Show property, both real and leased.

The FARM SHOW is an event facility that remains operational during inclement weather, necessitating the clearing of parking lots, sidewalks, and entrances to ensure safety for vendors, staff, and the public. The contract aims to maintain safe access during events and may also cover properties under the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture in the Harrisburg vicinity.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, and supervision necessary to remove snow, sleet, ice, or any combination thereof from drive lanes, parking areas, sidewalks, curbing, ticket booths, docks/ramps, steps, and walking surfaces as specified.

Services must be available 24/7 including weekends and holidays. The contractor must respond within two hours of notification for snow removal. Responsibilities include marking areas for plowing and spreading materials; ensuring emergency exits are clear; managing snow disposal at designated sites; and maintaining communication with the Building Maintenance Supervisor regarding priority areas for snow removal.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon the Effective Date defined in the Notice to Proceed and will continue until June 30, 2026. There are options for three (3) one-year renewals by mutual consent.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex located in Harrisburg, PA.
