Sewer & Water Maintenance Contract (Excavation No. 2)

Background
Capital Region Water is issuing this contract to maintain its utilities, which include sanitary, combined, and storm sewer collection systems as well as the water distribution system. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance and repair of these essential services through excavation and other maintenance work.

Work Details
The contractor will perform maintenance work on Capital Region Water-owned utilities, including repairs of existing facilities upon issuance of a Work Order. The work includes 'dig-up' and 'open cut' or 'excavation' type maintenance work. All necessary materials, equipment, labor, and apparatuses are to be provided by the contractor as outlined in the Contract Documents.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed over a three (3) year period as specified in the Contract Documents.

Place of Performance
The geographic location for the performance of this contract is within the jurisdiction of Capital Region Water.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the Minority Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Plan adopted by Capital Region Water. This includes submitting MWDBE documentation in compliance with contract documents. Bidders are required to provide bid security amounting to 10% of the total bid price and a Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of the estimated contract price upon award. A non-collusion affidavit is also required.
