Schuylkill Valley School District Field House

Background
The Schuylkill Valley School District is undertaking the construction of a new Field House at Schuylkill Valley High School located in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The project aims to enhance the educational and athletic facilities available to students and the community. The contract is being issued to solicit proposals for various construction services required for this project.

Work Details
Bids are invited on a lump sum basis for the following contracts:
1. General Construction
2. Mechanical Construction
3. Plumbing Construction
4. Electrical Construction

The project will adhere to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, which mandates compliance with prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of Labor and Industry. Bidders must also comply with federal and state statutes regarding environmental protection and public natural resource preservation.

The scope of work includes but is not limited to:
- Site preparation and earthwork
- Structural framing and roofing
- Installation of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Interior finishes including flooring, painting, and fixtures
- Exterior improvements such as paving and landscaping.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by January 20, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Schuylkill Valley High School, located at 929 Lakeshore Drive, Leesport, PA 19533.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid bond, performance bond, and labor and materialman’s bonds as part of their proposal. Additionally, they are required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to construction projects in Pennsylvania.
