Background
The City of Allentown is seeking bids for the renovation of the existing police station located on Hamilton St. adjacent to City Hall. This project includes a four-story addition to expand capacity and modernize essential systems such as HVAC and electrical to enhance efficiency, comfort, safety, and security.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to follow a timeline as delineated in the technical specifications provided in the bid documents.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Allentown Police Headquarters located on Hamilton Street adjacent to City Hall in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Bid Bond equal to ten percent of the bid total. They must also comply with local tax requirements and obtain a business tax license prior to contract execution.

Additionally, bidders are encouraged to engage Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE) with established participation levels of at least five percent for MBE and three percent for WBE. Failure to meet these participation levels requires an explanation submitted with the bid.
