Background
The Pennsylvania State Police is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to procure lawn care services for the Troop P - Towanda Station. The goal of this contract is to ensure proper maintenance of the grounds at the specified location, which aligns with the agency's mission to maintain a safe and functional environment for its operations.
Work Details
The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for monthly lawn care maintenance at the PA State Police Troop P - Towanda Station located at 295 Tomahawk Road, Towanda, PA 18848. The services include:
1. Mowing: Weekly mowing starting in April, with trimming around walkways, parking lots, buildings, signs, and impound lot. If a week is missed, clippings must be bagged during the next cut.
2. Trimming/Pruning: Trimming of shrubs/bushes/trees/landscaping in May, June, and September with removal of clippings.
3. Weed Control: Monthly weed control during the cutting season including spraying weed killer and pulling weeds from landscaping.
4. Mulching: One-time mulching during the cutting season when requested by the Station Commander.
5. All necessary equipment must be supplied by the vendor, and all clippings and debris must be removed from the premises. Special attention should be taken to ensure that cut grass does not blow onto State Police or personal vehicles.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon issuance of a valid contract or purchase order and will include four (4) one-year optional renewals.

Services will be performed at the Pennsylvania State Police Troop P - Towanda Station located at 295 Tomahawk Road, Towanda, PA 18848.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must complete a site visit prior to submitting a bid and obtain a signed proof of visit form from the Station Commander or authorized representative. Bidders must also provide proof of current insurance listing PSP as certificate holder and including language as additional insured. Additionally, bidders must have current PA small business certification attached with their bid submission.
