Background
The Pocono Mountain School District is undertaking the Pocono Mountain East Transportation Building Alterations project. The goal of this project is to enhance the facilities associated with the transportation services of the school district, ensuring compliance with current standards and improving operational efficiency. The project is being managed through the PennBid Program, which allows for electronic submission of bids.

Work Details
The work will be bid under separate prime contracts including General Construction, HVAC Construction, Plumbing Construction, and Electrical Construction. Key components of the project include:
- General construction tasks as outlined in the bid documents prepared by Breslin Architects.
- HVAC system upgrades and installations.
- Plumbing work including installation of new fixtures and drainage systems.
- Electrical work involving lighting and power systems upgrades.
- Demolition of existing structures as necessary to accommodate new installations.
- Compliance with Pennsylvania's Prevailing Wage Act, ensuring that all workers are compensated according to state-mandated wage rates.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed by April 7, 2026.

The work will be performed at the Pocono Mountain East Transportation Building located at 135 Pocono Mountain School Road, Swiftwater, PA 18370.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all documentation requirements as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. This includes providing a Bid Bond or certified check equal to 10% of the total proposal amount. Bidders are also required to attend a Pre-Bid Conference on March 12, 2026, at the Pocono Mountain School District Administration Office. Additionally, bidders must adhere to provisions regarding environmental pollution prevention and public natural resource preservation as mandated by federal and state statutes.
