Marcus Hook - Williamson Field & Haebel Plaza Stormwater Improvements

Background
The Borough of Marcus Hook is seeking bids for the Williamson Field and Haebel Plaza Stormwater Improvements Project. The project aims to enhance stormwater management through the installation of rain gardens at both locations, contributing to improved water quality and environmental sustainability. This initiative aligns with the Borough's commitment to maintaining and improving public spaces while addressing stormwater issues.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Removal of asphalt paving and installation of a 355-SY Rain Garden with stormwater drainage features at Williamson Field.
2. Installation of a 45-SY rain garden at Haebel Plaza without stormwater drainage features.

Specific items include:
- Demolition (1 LS)
- Rain Garden Installation (1 LS)
- 8-IN PVC Drainage Pipe (75 LF)
- 6-IN Perforated HDPE Underdrain Pipe (25 LF)
- 12-IN HDPE Pipe (110 LF)
- Erosion and Sediment Control Measures (1 LS)
- 2’X2’ Yard Drain (1 EA)
- Landscaping (1 LS).

Additionally, an alternate bid for planting areas A and B at Robert Haebel Plaza is included.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days from the receipt of the Owner’s Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Williamson Field and Haebel Plaza, located in Marcus Hook Borough, Pennsylvania.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, along with proof of compliance with PA Prevailing Wage Rates, Public Works Employment Verification Act, and various insurance requirements. A performance bond for 100% of the contract price and a maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price are also required upon contract award.
