Background
Temple University is seeking qualified contractors to bid on the Mechanical-HVAC Construction Package for the new Klein CPCA Building Project located at 1830 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA.
This new facility will serve the Klein College of Media and Communication and The Center for Performing and Cinematic Arts (CPCA). The project aims to create a state-of-the-art mixed-use building with a total area of approximately 198,000 GSF, which includes 146,000 GSF for academic programs and a 52,000 GSF theater program.
The facility will consolidate various uses from other campus locations and will include classrooms, studios, faculty offices, administrative offices, and student areas. The project is targeting LEEDv4 Silver certification and WELLv2 Silver certification.
Work Details
The scope of work for the Mechanical-HVAC Construction Package includes all necessary services, labor, materials, supervision, tools, supplies, equipment, insurance, and applicable taxes required to complete the Mechanical-HVAC Construction as outlined in the Contract Documents.
This includes adherence to specifications detailed in the Agreement, Scope of Work, Plans and Specifications, and other documents that will be uploaded to TUebid as part of the solicitation process.
Period of Performance
The Mechanical-HVAC Package is tentatively scheduled to be released for bid on December 17, 2024, with bids due on January 29, 2025.
