Janitorial Services Various Parks and Recreation Locations

Background
The City of Philadelphia's Procurement Department is issuing this solicitation for Janitorial Services for various Parks and Recreation Locations. The contract aims to provide comprehensive cleaning services for facilities managed by the Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation, ensuring that all designated areas are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Work Details
The successful bidder will be responsible for providing janitorial services at the following locations: Ryerss Museum and Library, Dell Music Center, Case Building, and Horticultural Center. Services include but are not limited to:

- Comprehensive interior and exterior cleaning of facilities.
- Provision of all cleaning supplies including janitorial paper products, hand soaps, detergents.
- Regular carpet cleaning using steam extraction methods.
- Special event cleaning services at the Dell Music Center during its concert season.
- Regular post-event cleaning after shows at the Dell Music Center.
- Maintenance of restroom cleanliness during events with dedicated restroom attendants.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or hazards to facility management.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and last for an initial term of twelve (12) months, with options to renew for up to four (4) additional one-year periods at the City's discretion. The City may also extend the contract for up to three (3) additional months if needed.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations within Philadelphia including Ryerss Museum and Library, Dell Music Center, Case Building, and Horticultural Center.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the City’s Anti-Discrimination Policy as outlined in Executive Order 01-21. Participation requires 10-15% involvement from Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (M-BE), Woman-Owned Business Enterprises (W-BE), or Disabled-Owned Business Enterprises (DS-BE). Bidders must also enroll in the City's Annual Bid Security Program and pay a non-refundable fee. A mandatory site inspection is required prior to submitting a bid.
