HVAC Replacement at the Public Safety Training Facility; Spec #24-06/26

Background
The County of Bucks is issuing this solicitation for the HVAC Replacement at the Public Safety Training Facility. The project aims to replace the existing HVAC system and includes interior work at select reflected ceiling locations.

The facility serves as a training center for public safety personnel, and the goal of this contract is to ensure a modern, efficient heating and cooling system that meets current standards.

Work Details
The work includes the following tasks:
1) Replacement of existing HVAC systems;
2) Installation of new mechanical systems including ductwork, air diffusers, registers, and grilles;
3) Plumbing modifications related to HVAC installation;
4) Electrical upgrades necessary for new HVAC equipment;
5) Selective demolition as required for installation;
6) Compliance with the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA);
7) Coordination with multiple prime contractors including General, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical contractors.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period starting from the award date until project completion, expected to be finalized within a specified timeframe post-bid acceptance.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Public Safety Training Facility located at 1760 South Easton Road (Rt 611), Doylestown, PA 18901.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be pre-qualified in accordance with the County's Responsible Contractors Ordinance. They are required to submit a Contractor Responsibility Certification Form at least 14 calendar days prior to the bid submission date. Additionally, bidders must comply with BABAA requirements and provide necessary documentation regarding compliance with domestic preference laws.
