Houston Park Trail Improvements

Background
The Houston Park Trail Improvements project is initiated by Nether Providence Township, aiming to enhance the recreational facilities in the area. The project involves significant construction work, including the development of new trails and restoration of existing ones. This contributes to the township's mission of providing quality outdoor spaces for its residents.

Work Details
The contract includes the construction of 2,550 linear feet of trail with related work such as:

1. Clearing/Tree Removal (1 LS)
2. Grading (1 LS)
3. Erosion & Sediment Control Measures (1 LS)
4. 12” Compost Filter Sock (1,300 LF)
5. 18” Compost Filter Sock (305 LF)
6. 24” Compost Filter Sock (1,000 LF)
7. 32” Compost Filter Sock (550 LF)
8. Upper West Trail with Infiltration Trenches (820 LF)
9. Lower West Trail with Infiltration Trenches (600 LF)
10. East Trail with Infiltration Trenches (1,135 LF)
11. Trail Restoration (850 SY)
12. 10 Ft. Wide Waterbars (34 EA)
13. Tributary Crossing with Pipes (1 LS)
14. Post-Mounted Pedestrian Sign (2 EA)
15. Trail Entrances (2 EA).

Period of Performance
The work is expected to be completed within ninety (90) calendar days following receipt of the Owner's Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The project will take place in Houston Park, located in Nether Providence Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide bid security in the amount of 10% of their bid and are required to submit a Labor and Materials Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract sum prior to signing the contract. A one-year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price is also required upon completion.
