Hametown Park & Windy Hill Park Park Improvements

Background
Shrewsbury Township is seeking proposals for park improvements at Hametown Park and Windy Hill Park. The project aims to enhance recreational facilities and amenities for the community, aligning with the township's mission to provide quality public spaces.

Work Details
The contract includes a Site Improvement Contract which encompasses various tasks such as site clearing, earthwork, concrete pavement installation, playground equipment installation, and landscaping. Specific items include:

- Mobilization/Demobilization
- Bond and Insurance
- Erosion & Sediment Control Measures
- Site Preparation
- Topsoil Stripping and Replacement
- Site Grading
- Concrete Pavement at Playground (202 SY)
- Concrete Pavement at Grills (9 SY)
- Playground Equipment Installation (including various structures from Landscape Structures, Inc.)
- Installation of benches, game tables, grills, and trash receptacles
- Metal fencing installation (280 LF)
- Pavilion installation (30’ x 44’)
- Planting and lawn seeding/restoration.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed within the timeframe specified in the bid documents. Bidders are required to indicate their proposed completion dates in their submissions.

The work will be performed at Hametown Park and Windy Hill Park located in Shrewsbury Township, York County, Pennsylvania.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid bond or certified check equal to 10% of the total base bid. A performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract price are required. Bidders must comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Experience qualifications for specific installations such as playground equipment and metal fencing are also required.
