Greer Park Redevelopment

Background
The Greer Park Redevelopment project is initiated by Newtown Township, located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The project aims to enhance the park's facilities and environment, aligning with the township's mission to provide quality recreational spaces for the community. The redevelopment includes significant improvements such as realigning Foxes Run, lowering a pond for dam removal, and constructing walking paths and boardwalks.

Work Details
The contractor is responsible for various tasks including:

- Realigning a portion of Foxes Run;
- Lowering the connected pond to facilitate dam removal;
- Installing a walking path and boardwalk;
- Performing associated improvements within the 2.0-acre project site at Greer Park.

Specific items to be completed include:

- Mobilization/demobilization;
- Erosion and sediment control;
- Installation of porous pavement trails;
- Concrete pads;
- Stream realignment;
- Dam removal;
- Boardwalk construction using timber pile foundations;
- Endwall installation;
- Perennial planting (plugs);
- Ornamental trees and shrubs in #3 and #5 containers;
- Annual ryegrass overseed;
- Lawn grass seed;
- No-mow lawn seed;
- Grading and earthwork including soil removal and disposal.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Greer Park located at 0 Winding Way, Newtown Square, PA 19073.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate prior experience by having satisfactorily completed at least two similar projects valued over $250,000 each. Additionally, all contractors must comply with prevailing wage rates as mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
