G.W. Hill Correctional Facility Security Check Point (EDPW-031126)

Background
The County of Delaware, Pennsylvania is soliciting bids for the G.W. Hill Correctional Facility Security Check Point project. The goal of this contract is to remove an existing security checkpoint booth and construct a new one behind the existing structure. This project is part of the County's efforts to enhance security operations at the facility.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Removal of the existing security checkpoint booth;
2) Construction of a new security checkpoint booth behind the existing structure;
3) General construction work;
4) Installation of all new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and casework necessary to support the operations of the new security checkpoint booth.

It is required that the existing security checkpoint booth remains operational during the construction of the new booth.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed within 105 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Official Notice-to-Proceed.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at G.W. Hill Correctional Facility located at 500 Cheyney Rd, Thornton, PA 19373.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a certified check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of their bid. The contractor must provide evidence of related experience and references, complete an AIA Document A305 Contractor’s Qualification Statement, and submit a written statement describing their Apprentice Training Program and Affirmative Action Program.

All workmen must be paid according to Pennsylvania's prevailing wage rates.
