Farmland Lease

Background
Luzerne County's Division of Operational Services is seeking proposals to lease county-owned land for the purpose of soil cultivation and crop production. The goal of this contract is to promote local agriculture and farming by allowing interested individuals or entities to utilize approximately 146.5 acres of farmland located in Butler Township, Luzerne County.

Work Details
The contractor will lease the county-owned land for a period of three (3) years, starting from the date of contract award through December 31, 2028. Respondents must submit a fixed annual proposal for either the entire 146.5 acres or a selected portion of the farmland. The scope includes soil cultivation and crop production activities as per the specifications outlined in Appendix A.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for three (3) years from the date of contract award through December 31, 2028.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed on approximately 146.5 acres of farmland located in Butler Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
