East Fallowfield Township 2026 Road Program

Background
The East Fallowfield Township is issuing a solicitation for the 2026 Road Program, aimed at improving local road infrastructure. The project involves various road maintenance activities including milling and paving, which are essential for ensuring safe and efficient transportation within the township. Work Details
The project includes the following services: asphalt milling, installation of a superpave wearing course, superpave base repair, asphalt leveling, pavement markings, and appurtenant work.

Specific quantities include:
- 19,187 square yards of 1.5-inch milling of bituminous pavement surface
- 323 square yards of 5-inch, 25mm superpave base repair
- 7,071 linear feet of 4-inch double yellow hot thermoplastic pavement markings.

Additionally, there are two bid alternates for work on 17th Avenue and Robin Lane with specified quantities for each location.

Period of Performance
The work is to be completed within 60 days after the Notice to Proceed is issued. Liquidated damages will apply at a rate of $885 per calendar day for any delays beyond this period.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in East Fallowfield Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be pre-qualified with PENNDOT according to Section 102.01 of PENNDOT Publication 408. A certified check or bid bond of at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount must accompany each proposal. The successful bidder will also need to provide performance and payment bonds as required by law.
