Background
The Cranberry Township Board of Supervisors, located in Butler County, Pennsylvania, is issuing this contract for the replacement of waterline infrastructure as part of their commitment to maintaining and improving public utilities.
The goal of Contract No. 2026-373 is to ensure a reliable and efficient potable water supply system for the residents of Cranberry Township.
Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the installation of approximately 1,275 linear feet of 8-inch waterline along Freedom Road (State Route 3020), Haldeman Drive, and Pin Oak Court.
Specific tasks include:
1. Mobilization/Demobilization including all necessary equipment and labor.
2. Installation of Erosion & Sedimentation Controls such as Compost Filter Socks and Inlet Protection.
3. Connection of existing waterlines using 8” Tapping Sleeve & Valve.
4. Installation of valves connecting to existing waterlines (both 16” and 8”).
5. Removal and delivery of existing fire hydrants to the Township.
6. Installation of new fire hydrants (Mueller Super Centurion 250, A-423) with associated valves and fittings.
7. Restoration work including concrete curb replacement, line striping restoration, and backfilling with approved materials.
8. Waterline testing including pressure and bacteria testing as per Township standards.
Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and will continue until all work is completed satisfactorily, with specific timelines outlined in the bidding documents.

The work will be performed in Cranberry Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, specifically along Freedom Road (State Route 3020), Haldeman Drive, and Pin Oak Court.
