Chestnut Hill West Line Bridge Rehab Program Project

Background
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is soliciting technical proposals for the Chestnut Hill West Line Bridge Rehabilitation Program Project (RFP# 26-00023-AJEB). This project aims to replace four bridges and rehabilitate three others on the Chestnut Hill West line in Philadelphia. The goal is to enhance the structural integrity and functionality of these bridges as part of SEPTA's commitment to maintaining safe and efficient transportation infrastructure.

Work Details
The project includes:
1. Replacement of four bridges at MP #0.06, #1.17, #1.26, and #2.98, which involves:
- Removal of superstructures using gantry cranes
- Restoration of abutment walls
- Installation of new superstructures
- Replacement of supporting columns at street level (#0.83 and #1.17).

2. Rehabilitation of three bridges at MP #0.83, #4.42, and #5.67, which involves:
- Selective floor beam replacement
- Steel connection repairs
- Full paint removal and repainting.

3. All bridges will receive:
- New deck drainage and waterproofing
- New bearings
- Masonry repairs on abutment walls
- Track profile adjustments.

4. The design-build team must obtain necessary permits including a Philadelphia Water Department Erosion and Sediment Control Plan and PennDOT General Permit PAG-01.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed within 790 calendar days from the date of receipt by the contractor of SEPTA's Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed along the Chestnut Hill West line in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
