Bloomsburg Public Works & Recycling Center Solar Project

The Town of Bloomsburg is seeking bids for the Bloomsburg Public Works & Recycling Building Solar Project. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, providing all labor, materials, tools, oversight, and permits necessary to furnish and install photovoltaic solar panels on the existing Public Works & Recycling buildings, as well as solar parking canopies at the Public Works facility site. This solicitation is issued by the Town of Bloomsburg. The contract aims to enhance the sustainability of the Town's Public Works & Recycling buildings by incorporating solar energy solutions. This project will involve the installation of solar panels and solar parking canopies to help reduce energy costs and promote renewable energy use at the facility. Contract requirements specify that all bids must be accompanied by a bid bond with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, in an amount equal to 10% of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond for 100% of the contract value, as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders. Prevailing Wage Rates will apply to this project. Bidding documents will be available online at no cost through the PennBid Program (http://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) starting at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, August 6th. Sealed bids must be submitted online via PennBid by 2:00 PM prevailing time on Thursday, August 21st, 2025. Immediately after the submission deadline, all bids received through PennBid will be opened online at the Engineer's Office and referred to the Town of Bloomsburg for final award. An abstract of the bids will be accessible to bidders on PennBid after the due date and time. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 12th at the Town of Bloomsburg Public Works Facility, located at 845 Catherine Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. Attendance is required for all bidders.
