Blight Property Demolition 229 Van Dine Street

The work under this contract involves the complete demolition of the structure located at 229 Van Dine Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815. This includes, but is not limited to, providing all necessary labor, materials, tools, oversight, and permits required for the total demolition of the property. The project also requires supervision for asbestos abatement. This solicitation is issued by the Columbia County Redevelopment Authority (CCRA). The background for this contract is to address blight by demolishing the specified property at 229 Van Dine Street. The CCRA is seeking qualified contractors to perform this work in accordance with all applicable regulations and requirements. Contract requirements include that all bids must be accompanied by a bid bond with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount, as stipulated in the project specifications. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract value, as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. Asbestos abatement supervision is mandatory for this project. In addition to the Equal Employment requirements of Executive Order 11246 regarding discrimination, the awarded contractor must establish a 3% goal for female participation. Instructions for submission specify that sealed bids must be submitted online via the PennBid Program (http://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) no later than Noon, prevailing time, on Friday, December 12, 2025. All bidding documents will be available at no cost through the PennBid Program beginning at Noon on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Immediately following the bid due date and time, all bids received through PennBid will be opened online at the Engineer's Office and referred to CCRA for final award. An abstract of the bids received will be available to bidders on PennBid after the bid due date and time. One pre-bid meeting will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 229 Van Dine Street. All bidders are encouraged, but not required, to attend.
