Balligomingo Streambank Stabilization Project

Background
The Balligomingo Streambank Stabilization Project is initiated by Upper Merion Township, located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The project aims to stabilize the streambank and channel through a comprehensive armoring system, while also implementing erosion and sedimentation controls. The goal is to restore areas disturbed by construction activities, ensuring environmental protection and compliance with local regulations.

Work Details
The work under this contract includes:
1. Streambank and channel armoring system installation.
2. Erosion and sedimentation control measures.
3. Restoration of areas disturbed by construction activities.
4. General construction tasks as specified in the project documents, including site grading, concrete armor units installation, and other related site work as detailed in the specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe set forth in the Agreement following the award of the contract.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at various locations along the Balligomingo streambank within Upper Merion Township, King of Prussia, PA.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the following requirements:
1. Bids must include bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond for 10% of the total bid amount.
2. Bidders must have at least 5 years of documented experience in similar projects and perform at least 50% of the work with their own workforce.
3. Compliance with Act 127 of 2012 (Public Works Employment Verification Act) is mandatory for both bidders and subcontractors prior to contract award.
