Background
The Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) is soliciting electronic bids for the maintenance of a section of Hollenback Road on State Game Lands (SGL) #119. The project aims to enhance the road's functionality and safety through various construction activities. This aligns with PGC's mission to manage and protect Pennsylvania's wildlife resources and maintain public access to state game lands.

Work Details
The scope of the project includes:
1) Making drainage improvements;
2) Road surface preparation;
3) Roadway construction using 4-inch Minus Stone;
4) Clearing trees and brush in the road corridor;
5) Installation of corrugated plastic drainage pipes with precast concrete headwalls;
6) Grading the road base;
7) Construction of a new stone road surface.

The total length of the road maintenance is approximately 22,586 feet (4.28 miles), with an additional spur road of about 1,810 feet (0.34 miles). The work area is primarily located in Dennison Township, with some sections in Fairview Township.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon delivery of the Purchase Order, estimated to be on July 1, 2025, and will terminate on October 3, 2025. All work must be completed and accepted by this date.

Place of Performance
The project will take place on State Game Lands #119 in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Access to the work area is primarily from Tunnel Road (County Road #19).

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with various requirements including:
- Having a Vendor Number assigned by the Commonwealth for payment processing;
- Adhering to prevailing wage laws as outlined in the contract terms;
- Providing performance security and payment bonds within ten days after award;
- Completing necessary forms related to worker protection and investment certification, public works employment verification, and reciprocal limitations act compliance.
