Background
The 2026 Storm Sewer Replacement Project is issued by Towamencin Township, located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Work Details

- **Site B** (Spring Valley Road): The work includes removing existing CMP pipes and replacing them with HDPE pipes, replacing a standard Type M inlet with a precast concrete endwall, removing and replacing rip-rap with R-4 Rip-Rap, installing replacement trees, and conducting site restoration including trench restoration and driveway repairs.

Additionally, an Alternate/Add-On for Site A includes reconfiguring the pipe layout using flowable fill to fill two segments of existing pipe, installing two inlet boxes, 36-inch HDPE pipes, and 57-inch x 38-inch CMPA along with all necessary excavation and restoration work. All construction will occur on Township property or within easements/rights of way, including necessary erosion and sedimentation controls.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence within seven (7) days after receiving the 'Notice to Proceed' from Towamencin Township and must be completed within seventy-five (75) calendar days.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at two locations in Towamencin Township: Kindle Drive & Amber Lane (Site A) and Spring Valley Road (Site B).

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a certified check or bid bond equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. They must comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act for projects exceeding $25,000. Successful bidders are required to furnish separate bonds for faithful performance and prompt payment of materials/labor equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. All contractors must also verify employment eligibility through E-Verify as mandated by the Public Works Employment Verification Act.
