2026 Equipment Bid - LF26006

Background
Lower Frederick Township (LFT) is seeking bids for the furnishing of equipment and labor on an hourly basis for various projects. The goal of this contract is to ensure that LFT has access to necessary equipment and labor for public works projects, thereby supporting their mission to maintain and improve local infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following equipment on a rental basis, as needed:

- Tandem Vibratory Roller (16-18 Ton with operator)
- Self-propelled paver (8'-16' with operator, 1 foreman, 3 laborers)
- Backhoe with operator (580 or equivalent)
- Rubber-tired Uniloader with operator (24" mill head and hopper pick-up broom)
- Tri-axle dump truck (minimum 23 tons, with driver)
- Distributor Truck with Driver
- Laborers
- Water Truck
- Milling Machine with Operator and milling Crew (4-foot drum width)
- Milling Machine with Operator and milling Crew (7-foot drum width)
- Excavator (min operating weight 36,000 lb)
- Compact Excavator (John Deere 50 P or equivalent)
- Road Widener (Midland SPD-8 or equivalent)
- D51EXi Dozer or similar with 10 ft blade
- Equipment Trailer with air powered ramp(s) (14,000 GVRW min).

The contractor is responsible for maintaining the equipment in good condition and providing all necessary fuel and operators.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins on March 28, 2026, and ends on March 31, 2027.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed within the geographic area described in the Schedule of Equipment provided by Lower Frederick Township.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a certified check or bid bond payable to Lower Frederick Township as a proposal guarantee. The successful bidder must submit a performance bond within 15 days of contract award. Bidders are required to comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act if total bid prices exceed $100,000. Additionally, contractors must provide adequate insurance coverage for Property Damage and Bodily Injury Insurance.
