2025 Water Main Replacement - Manor Park Contract No.W-54

Background
The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Morrisville is issuing a contract for the 2025 Water Main Replacement project at Manor Park, Contract No. W-54. The goal of this contract is to replace existing water mains to improve the water distribution system in the area.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Installation of 2500 linear feet of 6-inch water main;
2) Installation of 60 water service connections (1" and under);
3) Installation of 6 fire hydrant assemblies;
4) Installation of 6 wet taps on existing mains;
5) Connection to existing main (2 connections);
6) Removal of valve boxes (15 units);
7) Removal of fire hydrants (2 units);
8) Sidewalk restoration (500 square feet);
9) Concrete curb restoration (300 linear feet);
10) Miscellaneous excavation (25 cubic yards);
11) Capping isolated mains (9 units).

Additionally, there is an add alternate for milling and overlaying approximately 12500 square yards. The Owner will purchase all water system materials under a separate contract.

Period of Performance
The contract work must be completed within 45 consecutive calendar days upon official Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Manor Park, Morrisville, PA.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have completed a minimum of three similar projects, each valued at not less than seventy-five percent of the proposed contract amount. Bids must include a certified check or bid bond equal to ten percent of the bid amount. Bidders must also comply with the Public Works Employment Verification Act through utilization of the federal E-Verify Program.
