2025 Churchville Manor Public Water Project

Background
The 2025 Churchville Manor Public Water Project is issued by the Northampton, Bucks County, Municipal Authority. The project aims to extend public water services to residential properties adjacent to the new water main installation, enhancing access to clean water and supporting community health and safety. The contract involves significant construction work including the installation of a new water main and associated infrastructure.

Work Details
The contract includes the construction of a water main extension with water services and curb stops located in the right-of-way for each adjacent residential property. Additional connections will be offered to residences with current water main access, subject to homeowner acceptance. Key components of the project include:

- Horizontal directional drill installation of an 8-inch water main
- Water main taps
- Fire hydrants
- Automatic flushing station/sampling station
- Services and meter pits
- Plumbing connections
- Disconnection of wells and all appurtenances.

Construction will occur in State Highway, Township Road, rights-of-way, and easement areas on private property. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary erosion and sedimentation controls and restoration.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be completed within 850 consecutive calendar days after the issuance of the notice to proceed.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be experienced in HDPE fusion and water main construction. Service connections must be performed by a Northampton Township approved registered plumber. Bids must include a certified check or bid bond of 10% of the total bid amount as security. Compliance with federal and state regulations is mandatory, including adherence to the Davis-Bacon Act, Equal Employment Opportunity regulations, and requirements for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs).
