Background
Washington County Facilities Division is seeking a contractor to provide parts, batteries, maintenance, installation, and repairs of the various uninterruptable power supply (UPS) units located in multiple buildings across the county. The goal of this contract is to ensure the reliability and functionality of UPS systems critical for maintaining power during outages.
Work Details
The contractor will provide annual maintenance and service on the County’s UPS units, bi-annual service on the batteries, scheduled replacement of UPS capacitors and batteries, and other related maintenance services as requested. Specific tasks include:
1) Replacing capacitors and batteries according to manufacturer schedules;
2) Performing maintenance per MGE, GE, SOLAREDGE, and Gamatronic specifications;
3) Providing bi-annual physical battery inspections at designated locations;
4) Emergency response services available 24/7 with a callback response within 15 minutes and on-site arrival within 90 minutes;
5) Providing all necessary labor, equipment, and materials for safe work execution;
6) Ensuring all employees complete a County security background check before starting work.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue for a specified duration as outlined in the final agreement. The estimated expenditure for this contract is $500,000.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout Washington County, Oregon including but not limited to the Public Services Building, Elections Office at SunTech Business Park, Jail/Law Enforcement Center, Walnut Street BCDC, and Public Safety Training Center.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board prior to submitting bids. They must demonstrate an employee drug and alcohol testing program is in place. Bidders must comply with all applicable laws regarding prevailing wage rates.
