Rock and Gravel Products

Background
The Department of Community Services Transportation Department of Multnomah County is soliciting bids for rock, gravel, aggregate, and sand products. The goal of this contract is to provide essential materials for road maintenance across multiple maintenance yards within the county. This procurement aims to ensure a reliable supply of construction materials necessary for infrastructure upkeep.

Work Details
Bidders are required to furnish various rock and aggregate products, including but not limited to:
- Crushed rock
- Open graded aggregates
- Dense graded aggregates
- Stabilization rock (6-inch to 4-inch minus)
- Pit run rock (12-inch minus)
- Class 50 riprap rock
- Mason sand (meeting ASTM C144 standards)
- Top soil (meeting section 01040 specifications)
- Boulders free of organic material.

The materials must conform to the 2024 Oregon Standard Specifications for Construction Section 00680 and other specified sections. Bidders must complete a Bid Spreadsheet detailing the materials and approximate annual quantities as part of their submission.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of up to 5 years or until $250,000 in purchases from all awarded suppliers is reached, whichever comes first.

Place of Performance
The delivery locations include multiple maintenance yards within Multnomah County, specifically:
- Vance Pit (1620 SE 190th St, Portland, Oregon)
- District 1 Road Shop (10814 NW Quarry Rd, Portland, Oregon)
- Springdale Road Shop (32360 SE Hurlburt Rd, Corbett, Oregon).

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific requirements including completing the Bid Spreadsheet on the Buyer Attachments page and uploading it as a Supplier Attachment. Additionally, bidders are expected to adhere to Responsible Business Practices if awarded the contract. This includes optimizing delivery routes to reduce environmental impact and including diverse suppliers in the supply chain.
