Retractable Pool Enclosure Infrastructure

Background
Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 06182025 for the installation of a Dynadome retractable pool enclosure over the existing 50-meter Olympic size outdoor pool at the MHCC Aquatics Center. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facility's usability and safety by providing a retractable enclosure that can be used in various weather conditions.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Structural foundations for the Dynadome.
- Modifications and expansion to the existing pool deck and deck drainage.
- Concrete walks, ramps, and stairs for egress and circulation.
- Installation of a new scoreboard provided by the owner, replacing the existing scoreboard.
- HVAC infrastructure and systems for the Dynadome.
- Lighting for the Dynadome and modified site.
- Electrical and low voltage work supporting the Dynadome and events at the pool.
- New hose bibs and modifications to existing hose bibs and plumbing.
- Demolition scope as required to install new work.
- Protection of existing outdoor pool and adjacent facilities during installation.

Period of Performance
The anticipated timeline for this project includes: Intent to Award on July 9, 2025; Start of Construction on August 25, 2025; Completion of Work by February 27, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Mt. Hood Community College, located at 26000 SE Stark Street, Gresham, Oregon 97030.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed with the State of Oregon Construction Contractors Board as per ORS 701.021. They are also required to submit a Bid Security in the form of a bid bond or certified check for ten percent (10%) of their bid amount if it exceeds $100,000. Additionally, bidders must comply with prevailing wage requirements as outlined in ORS 279C.800 to ORS 279C.870.
