OSP Asbestos Abatement Intermediate Building

Background
The Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the Asbestos Abatement Intermediate Building project located at 2605 State St., Salem, OR 97310. The goal of this contract is to establish a comprehensive agreement for the abatement of asbestos in the specified building, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Work Details
The work includes all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, and services necessary for the completion of the asbestos abatement project. This encompasses preparation, removal, disposal of asbestos-containing materials, and any incidental construction work as detailed in the contract documents.

The estimated project cost ranges from $500,000 to $650,000.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to commence within ten (10) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Substantial completion is required within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Final completion is due one hundred fifty (150) calendar days thereafter.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Oregon State Penitentiary located at 2605 State St., Salem, OR 97310.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference on May 15, 2025. Bids will only be evaluated from those who attend. Bidders must be registered in OregonBuys and provide required documentation including proof of Construction Contractors Board registration and Asbestos Abatement licensing.

A bid security of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount is required.
