John Day DMV Janitorial Services

Background
The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide janitorial services for the John Day DMV. The goal of this contract is to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, reflecting prudent expenditure of public funds while adhering to sustainability principles.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide comprehensive janitorial services including but not limited to:
- Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, kitchen, break room, conference rooms, and office areas;
- Vacuuming carpets;
- Sweeping and mopping non-carpeted floors;
- Emptying and cleaning trash receptacles;
- Refilling paper and soap dispensers;
- Performing periodic deep cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning and window washing;
- Ensuring building security checks;
- Maintaining storage areas in a clean and orderly manner.

Specific tasks include daily services on Wednesdays and Fridays, weekly services, monthly services, as well as periodic services twice a year. The Contractor must also use environmentally-friendly cleaning products as per the Green Chemistry Procurement Guidelines.

Period of Performance
Janitorial services will be performed on Wednesdays and Fridays between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., excluding State holidays. Periodic services will be scheduled with the On-Site Coordinator.

Bidder Requirements
The Contractor must provide all necessary staffing, training, supervision, tools, equipment, and supplies for service performance. They are required to use green cleaning products approved by ODOT's On-Site Coordinator. The Contractor must also maintain an accurate inventory of supplies used.
