Background
The City of Ashland is seeking bids for the purchase of nine (9) chemicals for use at the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants. The goal of this contract is to ensure the provision of necessary chemicals to maintain water quality and comply with regulatory standards.

2) Sodium Hypochlorite (12.5%+),
3) Cytec Superfloc C-573 Flocculant or Polydyne MOE 106 PWG Flocculant (No Substitution),
4) Cytec Superfloc N-300 LMW Flocculant (No Substitution),
5) Soda Ash, Dense, Free Flowing,
6) Sodium Carbonate Peroxyhydrate (Greenclean or Equivalent),
7) Sodium Hypochlorite (12.5%) for WWTP,
8) Citric Acid (50%), and
9) Aluminum Sulfate for WWTP.
Each chemical has specific requirements regarding delivery location, quantities, and specifications that must be adhered to. For example, Aluminum Sulfate must meet A.W.W.A specifications and be delivered directly to the WTP using a truck that can access limited areas.
Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
Place of Performance
The chemicals will be delivered to various locations in Ashland, Oregon including the Water Treatment Plant located above Lithia Park and the Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 1195 Oak Street.

Bidders must comply with Oregon tax laws and provide a statement indicating whether they are a 'Resident bidder' as defined by ORS 279A.120. Additionally, bidders must not discriminate against minority or women-owned businesses in obtaining required subcontracts.
