ITB 24-0022 Highland Park MS Conference Room & Walls

Background
The Beaverton School District 48J is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB 24-0022) to obtain competitive bids for a public improvement project at Highland Park Middle School.
The goal of the contract is to create a new conference room and replace an existing folding partition between two rooms with a solid wall.
This project is subject to Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) 279C.800 to 279C.870, which govern public works projects.

Work Details
The General Contractor (GC) will provide all labor, tools, and materials necessary for the following tasks:
1. Create a new conference room in the library area of Highland Park Middle School.
2. Replace an existing folding partition between rooms CR3 and CR4 with a new solid wall.
3. Perform limited demolition, install new electrical systems, redirect HVAC systems, and lay new flooring.
4. Ensure that all work areas are cleaned daily and that any construction debris is removed off-site.
5. Coordinate with the District for any required asbestos testing and abatement.
6. Salvage existing Kinnarps-style partitions for reuse in the school.
7. Patch and paint areas around the new wall as needed, ensuring that new floor tiles match existing ones.
8. Provide protection for existing utilities and neighboring finishes during construction.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to begin during the summer break of 2025, with substantial completion required by August 1, 2025, and final completion by August 8, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Highland Park Middle School located at 7000 SW Wilson Avenue, Beaverton, Oregon 97008.
