Inverness Force Main Progressive Design Build

Background
The primary purpose of this project is to provide reliable and continuous wastewater conveyance service between the Inverness Pump Station and the Columbia Boulevard Wastewater Treatment Plant (CBWTP). The project will develop and implement a solution that reduces risks of failure in the Inverness Force Main system.

Work Details
BES is seeking proposals for Progressive Design-Build (PDB) Services for the Inverness Force Main Project. The successful Proposer will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Owner’s Project team to complete the Project. The major scope elements of Phase 1 Preliminary Services include risk evaluation, condition assessments, preliminary engineering, technical studies, design development, and preparation of a proposed construction price and schedule.
Phase 2 services generally encompass completing the Project’s final design, rehabilitation/construction, and performance testing. The successful Proposer is expected to demonstrate strong experience in inspection and condition assessment of force main systems, rehabilitation and repair of large-diameter pressurized water systems, environmental permitting, contracting and workforce training emphasizing opportunities for minorities and women-owned firms.

Period of Performance
The target contract cost of the Project is approximately $25 million, and the target substantial completion date is December 31, 2027.
